Is the job offer pro-bono?

No. Our network of collaborators is expanding and we want new team members to take ownership of the project and contribute to its development with commitment, responsibility and fun – within their means and desires, together with project priorities and needs .

Are contributions paid?

It depends on the initiative. There are subprojects with more financial resources than others. For example, the sale of products and art pieces, the workshops, open calls, scholarships and contests usually have direct remuneration.

Subprojects such as platform and content implementation and management for websites and social networks, production of releases and teaching materials and communication tasks are strategic needs with medium or long term returns. At the same time, they are essential to achieving global project sustainability.

Therefore, when paying the revenues of each project, we consider a balance between the collaborations, as well as the need, the desire and the urgency that each employee expresses in relation to the receipt of their remuneration. It all depends on how much energy each employee invests in the process in which they are inserted.

How is dividend distribution decided in the case of funded projects?

We have a collaborative scoring model based on the experiences of the last 3 years of project management and development. There we count the average hours consumed in each layer of each subproject, and from there we elaborate the return for each labor profile involved. Not all projects require intervention from everyone, but this set score is a starting point for budgeting and evaluating results before distributing dividends.

The criteria are open to contributors and are discussed and agreed collectively so that they are updated according to the local realities and developments of each project.

Do Alquimétricos have debts or lenders?

The project has no substantial debt, but we would like to reward the people who made it possible for Alquimétricos to get here – and who help it go further. We work with a kind of “credit” that will become more functional as the administrative and accounting transparency of contributions are properly organized.

We set aside a small portion of the funds to contribute to the Alquimetricos’-based project and the contributions received so far, which have not always been paid. This is not a priority, and is limited to possibility and eventual abundance – given the most immediate obligations and urgencies.

Therefore, when paying the revenues of each project, we consider a balance between the collaborations, as well as the need, the desire and the urgency that each employee expresses in relation to the receipt of their remuneration.
